Our Mechanical Engineering Department students teach applied courses such as Seminar, Graduation Project I, Graduation Project II and Laboratory in the department laboratories. Personal work safety tools and equipment such as apron, protective gloves and glasses are provided by our students.

Mechanical Engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the application of physics principles for the analysis, design, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
Mechanical engineering requires a good understanding of fundamental concepts such as mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and energy. Mechanical engineers use fundamental principles as well as other knowledge in the field to design and analyze motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics, medical devices, and more.
Mechanical engineering, which is the oldest and largest engineering field of engineering activities, deals with machines, energy and manufacturing methods. Mechanical engineers design and manufacture machines and equipment for all branches of industry as well as machine tools. For example; turbines, printing presses, earthmoving machinery, food processors, air conditioning and cooling systems, artificial hearts and limbs, airplanes, diesel locomotives, automobiles, trucks, engines for mass transportation vehicles, etc. Mechanical engineers design and develop mechanical systems, gas and steam turbines, screw or reciprocating compressors, nuclear reactors, internal combustion engines, cooling, heating and ventilation systems, depending on the structure of the institution they work for. While doing this, it considers the factors of usefulness and cheapness.
Departments of Mechanical Engineering:
The mechanical engineering program provides education and research in the design, development, production planning and maintenance of all kinds of mechanical systems and energy conversion systems. Currently, there are five departments in our department: Mechanics, Machine Theory and Dynamics, Construction-Manufacturing, Energy and Thermodynamics.
Our Mechanical Engineering Department is located in the E4 section of the Engineering Faculty building in the Western Campus of Süleyman Demirel University.

It is possible to work as a part-time student in various departments of our university. There is no additional fee payment during internship and application training in the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Our university offers a dormitory for girls with a capacity of 8500 beds in the East and West campuses, a dormitory for boys with a capacity of approximately 4320 in the center of Isparta and a dormitory for a total of 12,820 people.
