The Department of Biology is comprised of General Biology, Zoology, Botanics, Molecular Biology and Hydrobiology main branches. In addition, Master of Science and PhD education have been executed actively. Theoretical knowledge given to bachelor’s degree students has been supported with laboratory and site work. The use of today’s technologies such as biotechnology and radiation technologies in the science of biology has been followed with great care. In addition to student labs, physiology, molecular biology, histology, tissue culture, morphology, cytogenetics, entomology and hydrobiology research labs equipped with necessary tools serve post-graduate students. At the end of a four-year education, as a supplement to post-graduate opportunity, our graduates can have the opportunity to work in hospitals, various institutes, labs, institutions related to the Ministry of Agriculture and the food and medicine industry.
