First-Year Chemistry Students Wear Their White Coats

A "White Coat Ceremony" was organized by the Department of Chemistry at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences for first-year students.

The ceremony took place in the Türker Taşaltın Conference Hall and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Özgü Yiğit, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Aksever, Head of the Chemistry Department Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Öksüz, representatives from the Mediterranean Branch of the Chemists' Association, faculty members, students, and their families.

In the speeches delivered during the ceremony, the white coat was emphasized as a symbol of dedication to science, responsibility, and ethical values. The significance of this first step in the students’ professional lives was also highlighted.
