About MÜDEK

What is MÜDEK?

Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MÜDEK), is an independent organization that operates to contribute to improving the quality of engineering education in Turkey by carrying out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for various engineering education programs in our country.

What is the purpose of MÜDEK?

The purpose of MÜDEK is; to contribute to improving the quality of engineering education in Turkey by carrying out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education programs in different disciplines, thus ensuring that the welfare of society is furthered by training better trained and more qualified engineers who understand current and developing technologies.

 

Educational Objectives of the Department of Computer Engineering

EA1. It produces new and high value-added information and systems by following the developments in the field of computers and technology and analyzing them.

EA2. Having acquired the habit of constantly learning and renewing himself, he identifies and solves engineering problems by using scientific methods, innovative technological developments, and modern software and hardware tools in the field of Computer Engineering.

EA3. Uses initiative and works within teams in research and development activities and project management practices.

EA4. They assume managerial and leadership roles in their environment by developing cooperation with professional and non-governmental organizations.

EA5. Analyzes and solves the problems he encounters in real life in the light of the knowledge he has learned on the basis of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

EA6. He/she carries out his/her duties with the awareness of professional and moral responsibility.

 

Program Outcomes of the Department of Computer Engineering

PO1. Sufficient knowledge of subjects specific to the fields of mathematics, science and computer engineering; Ability to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these fields to solve complex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering.

PO2. Ability to identify, define, formulate and solve complex engineering problems in the field of computer engineering; Ability to select and apply appropriate analysis, techniques and modeling methods for this purpose.

PO3. The ability to design a complex system, process, device or product within the scope of computer engineering, under realistic constraints and conditions, by applying modern design methods in the field of computer engineering to meet certain requirements.

PO4. Ability to develop, select and use modern techniques and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in computer engineering applications; Ability to use information technologies effectively.

PO5. Ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results for the study of complex problems or research issues specific to the discipline of computer engineering.

PO6. Ability to work effectively in intradisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams; individual work ability. 

PO7. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written Turkish; knowledge of at least one foreign language; Ability to write effective reports and understand written reports, prepare design and production reports, make effective presentations, give and receive clear and understandable instructions.

PO8. Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; The ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology and constantly renew oneself.

PO9. Acting in accordance with ethical principles, awareness of professional and ethical responsibility; Knowledge of standards used in engineering applications in the field of computer engineering.

PO10. Knowledge of business practices such as project management, risk management and change management in the field of computer engineering; awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation; Information about sustainable development.

PO11. Information about the effects of engineering applications in the field of computer engineering on health, environment and security at universal and social dimensions and the problems of the age reflected in the field of computer engineering; Awareness of the legal consequences of computer engineering solutions.

  • Department Quality Policy, Research Policy

    As the Department of Computer Engineering, in line with the goals and objectives of our faculty and in accordance with the Quality Management System standards, we determine our primary goal to train innovative and entrepreneurial individuals who closely follow technological and scientific developments, have advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. While contributing to universal science with research and development activities, we adopt the mission of training engineers who can adapt to rapid technological changes and direct this change. We aim to be a pioneer at regional and global levels as a leader and competitive department in technology production, recognized at national and international levels with educational, scientific and sectoral collaborations. The Department of Computer Engineering of Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Engineering, by providing undergraduate and graduate education at national and international levels, considers it its duty to train Computer Engineers who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to take part in technical, administrative and R&D studies in the industry, who follow current high technology, who have a habit of continuous learning, who are entrepreneurial, who are prone to teamwork, who can produce solutions, who do research, who have acquired analysis and synthesis skills, who are open to technological developments, who are sensitive to humanity, people and the environment, who are beneficial to their country and humanity, who conduct scientific research and produce technology to increase the quality of life of the society, who have the ability to think universally and who have a broad horizon. It has adopted the vision of being a pioneering department that works for the benefit of our society and humanity within universal criteria, who transforms its research results into technology.
